Day 1

Jammu – Srinagar Houseboat + Shikara Ride

Start your Jammu Kashmir Tour by arriving at Jammu Airport or Railway Station. The agent will receive you and will transfer you to Srinagar. Check into the Houseboat. (Srinagar is also known as “PARADISE ON EARTH”). After having rest in the houseboat for an hour. Enjoy Boat ride by (Shikara) to Explore the Dal-lake, Waterways, Backwaters, Canals, Floating Gardens, Vegetable Gardens, Water Lilies, Lotus Flowers, Easily accessible Mobile Vendors, Floating Handicraft Centre & inherited lifestyle of people living inside the Lake since decades. Return to the Houseboat. Overnight stay in Deluxe Houseboat.

Day 2

Srinagar to Gulmarg

Today, after breakfast. Check out from the houseboat and transfer to Gulmarg. Gulmarg is a town, a hill station, a popular skiing destination, and a notified area committee in the Baramulla district of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Covered with snow-capped mountains. One can even have a view of Nanga Parbat on a clear sunny day. Enroute visiting Saffron fields, Awantipur ruins (1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma), see the beautiful countryside on the way and lot of rice fields. It is premier winter sports Ski resorts for Skiers with one of the world’s highest 18 hole golf courses. For joy seekers, cable car presently up to Khilanmarg & is Asia’s long run cable ride approx. 5 km and altitude wise world’s highest run Cable Car conquering almost 14000 ft Height. Evening return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Gulmarg.

Day 3

Gulmarg to Pahalgam

After having a delicious breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Pahalgam which is a beautiful hill station of Jammu and Kashmir situated at an altitude of 2130 meters above sea level. It is Kashmir’s most popular resort surrounded by high mountains, dense forests, high mountain lakes, it also offers 9 hole golf course, skiing, ponytrails, angling (rainbow & brown trout’s) horse riding, trekking (both hard & soft) & various places of interest in & around like Aru valley, Lidder water valley, Kolhai glacier, Shesh Nag, Chandanwari(route to holy cave), Baisam & Mamil famous for 9th century old (Shiva Temple) thus happens to be a preferred spot among domestic tourists. Arrive Pahalgam, check-in to the hotel. Refresh yourself & later explore the surroundings with a scenic view all around. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Pahalgam.

Day 4

Pahalgam to Patnitop to Katra

After breakfast. Check out from the Hotel and drive for Katra. On the way visit Naag Temple in Patnitop. Females are not allowed inside the sanctum sanctorum. The entry into the sanctum sanctorum is very small and will have to bend a lot to enter especially for the tall people. Later drive to Katra. On arrival at Katra, Check-in to the hotel. Overnight in Katra.

 

Day 5

Mata Vishno Devi Darshan

Morning proceeds for the trek to Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine (12kms). Mata Vaishno Devi temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Shakti and is the second most visited religious shrine in India after Tirupati Balaji Temple. Ponies can also be arranged by self for the trek, return to Katra late in evening/night, dinner and overnight stay at Katra.

Day 6

Katra – Jammu Departure

After a sumptuous breakfast, check out from the hotel. This will be the last day of your Jammu Kashmir Tour Package. You will depart for Jammu Railway Station to board the scheduled train for onward destination.
